Statement
For my “Digital Story,” I
decided to start by putting a song that would fit perfectly with the message
that I tried to get along which was my mind changed after the challenge was
completed, and I remembered a song that I personally like a lot which is “Yes,
am changing” by Tame Impala. Another reason why I chose that song indeed
because the lyrics give the same message that I tried to get along. In the
video I added pictures of me, my brother and my friends on a hike to show
things that I did to relax and clear my mind as I spoke about them on the video
while showing them.
At the beginning of the video,
three pictures are shown, one from the famous artist Vincent van Gogh, then one
from Pablo Picasso, and the last one was from Robert Mamani Mamani, all of them
famous artists to show that I admire the work of very talented people as I mention
during the video. Then I show my own work to show my progress over all during
the challenge and how much my skills grew during the thirty days of the challenge.
At the end of the video,
I started emphasizing on the message of changing and opening the mind and clearing
it while doing new things, and I showed a picture of a mountain full of burned
trees with a clear sky and sunrise to bring the messages of “new day, new you,”
and “the storm comes before a sunny day.” To finish the video, the song keeps going
and as the credits were shown, and the music gives that final hook to make clear
the message of changing.
In the process of doing the video, I realized many things like the fact that am good at drawing, am not the best, but am good enough though. I realized that I have to be more positive with my thinking and stand up and work hard for what I want to accomplish in life. Something that was very inspiring it was the lyrics of the song that I chose for my digital story, because the song says that changing is something natural in people, and that anyone who says the opposite is just lying.
Indeed, making my digital story was a quick but interesting experience because I showed my effort during my challenge during the video, I showed all my work and I was proud and anxious of showing it to my classmates. I came to the realization that if I work hard enough and put effort on what i want to accomplish, I can achieve any goal that I set for myself and I thank my English teacher Mrs. Richter for helping me and showing me that a positive mindset is key to do and complete any challenge.
